The brief
Piola Pizza is a Neapolitan pizzeria in Esbjerg, Denmark. It needed a site where customers could order online quickly from a phone, and where the menu and deals could change without a developer.
What I built
- A WooCommerce ordering system with a dynamic menu and combo deals
- A mobile-first checkout kept as short as possible
- Customer accounts for repeat orders and order tracking
- Promotional banners for seasonal and daily deals
- Local SEO so the site is found by people nearby
What a restaurant website has to do
People open a restaurant site on a phone, hungry, and want three things: the menu, the price and a way to order. Everything on this site is arranged around that. The menu and deals are editable by the owner, so a new pizza or a daily offer does not wait for a developer.
Inside the site, 11 October 2026
Read from the live site, page by page.
Size. 8 pages: home, menu, about, contact, terms and articles.
What the pages do.
- The menu lists each pizza with its price in kroner, from 89 for a Margherita to 145 for the truffle pizza
- A contact page with a form
- Pickup orders are placed on the site, and delivery goes through Wolt
- The whole site is in Danish, for people searching in Esbjerg
What search engines see.
- Restaurant structured data with the address, map position, opening hours and rating, which is what Google uses for local results
- The page title and description name the town and the food
- Every one of the 29 images on the home page has alt text
Common questions
What should a restaurant website include?
A restaurant website should show the menu with prices, opening hours, the address and a way to order, all easy to use on a phone. It should also carry restaurant structured data so Google can show the hours, location and rating in local results.
Can a restaurant take orders on its own WordPress site?
Yes. Piola Pizza takes pickup orders through WooCommerce on its own site, with a menu and deals the owner can change. Delivery goes through Wolt.
How does a restaurant website show up in local search?
By saying clearly where it is and what it serves. The page title and description name the town and the food, and structured data gives Google the address, map position and opening hours.
